Master Silk is Street-certified. Suit-verified. Wisdom you can feel.
Master Silk isn’t a myth—he’s the blueprint. Born and raised in Chicago, hardened by the streets, and refined by boardrooms, he’s a man who has seen it all and lived to pull the coat on every damn bit of it. A Marine Corps veteran, licensed attorney, former street entrepreneur, and now a multi-business investor, Silk is living proof that reinvention is real—but respect must be built, brick by brick.
More Than a Hustler—He’s a Legacy Builder
Back in the day, they called him Seldom Seen—not because he was hiding, but because real bosses move in silence. From bars and strip clubs to escort services and adult film ventures, Silk ran his game tight. But unlike most, he invested in his people. The women who worked for him didn’t just leave with cash—they left with cars, homes, stock, and options.
Today, he owns several successful companies and teaches others how to pivot from the streets to sustainability.
The Voice Behind the Mic
Master Silk is the creator and host of the podcast Let Me Pull Your Coat: The Unfiltered World of Master Silk, where he gives raw, unpolished, and unapologetic advice on life, love, business, betrayal, loyalty, and legacy. His voice is smooth, his delivery is slick, and his truth? It cuts straight to the bone.
Listeners around the world tune in every week not just for the game—but for the growth.
The Mission
Silk’s goal is simple: Elevate the people who were never supposed to make it. Whether he’s helping young men stay off the block, guiding women out of survival mode, or teaching veterans how to build wealth, he does it with style, swagger, and substance.
And when he speaks, even the silence leans in.
“I built respect before I ever built wealth.” – Master Silk

LET ME PULL YOUR COAT: ADVICE FROM THE BLADE TO THE BOARDROOM
From Health Scare To Hope: Family, Forgiveness, And Finding Your Way Back

A brief check-in turns into a powerful reminder that love shows up in hard times. We start with gratitude, a quick health update, and an honest note about the holiday season from someone raised outside the usual traditions. Then Baby Doll takes the lead, reading a listener letter from a 19-year-old who was isolated by a controlling partner, assaulted by his mistress, and left alone in the rain. The story is brutal—and far too common—but the response is clear, compassionate, and actionable.
Together we unpack the pattern of coercive control: cutting off family, humiliation, and violence disguised as care. We talk about why shame keeps people stuck and how connection breaks the trap. The roadmap we share is simple and strong: call your people, tell the truth, and let them show up. From there, document everything and speak with an attorney about protection orders, custody, and stolen property. We also address what it takes to rebuild trust with family after lies and distance—owning your choices, asking for help, and proving change through consistent action.
If you’ve ever felt too far gone to go home, this conversation offers a bridge back. We hold space for different beliefs around holidays, celebrate the small wins of recovery, and keep it real about safety planning, legal steps, and the courage it takes to start again. Come for the warmth and stay for the practical steps that can make the next call, the next day, and the next season safer. If this resonates, subscribe, share with someone who needs it, and leave a review to help more people find the support they deserve.

I'm not gonna keep you guys this week, but I do want to thank you for all of the well wishes and your concern about my health. I'm not gonna get into it this week because we're supposed to be celebrating holidays, or as they say, this is the start of holiday season. So I don't want to bring you down, but just know that everything is going well. I'm home. I sent China to Belize for a week, so it's just me and my little baby doll. As far as the holiday season goes, I'm not really into that. I grew up Muslim. I grew up in the mosque with the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. My mosque number was number 49, and it was in Kankakee, Illinois. So, till this day, I still don't eat pork, but we already knew the true meaning of this holiday and how it came about. We knew all of this and we never celebrated it. As a matter of fact, I had my first birthday party maybe 20 years ago. I know I was out here in California, so yeah, I've been here since 2004. But if you celebrate it or not, I hope you have a lot of fun this week. I hope you have a lot of fun this season. Rochelle's been keeping things up and going for me, and I really, really appreciate that. I'm gonna turn the mic back over to her because I'm still a little tired. So I'm gonna let her have the rest of the program. I think she may become a regular fixture here because I we've been getting a lot of good feedback about her. And you'd probably want to hear two women instead of hearing me anyway. But as I said, I appreciate you guys sending me your well wishes. I appreciate all the donations you sent on the donation page since I've been gone. And I want you to know I love you guys and I always will. I'm here for you if you ever need me, and I'm not just saying that. If you need me, I'll be there or I'll try to make a way to make your life a little bit better. Let me turn the mic over to Rochelle. I hate calling her that. She is and always will be my baby doll. I'll talk with you guys next time. All right, baby doll, it's all yours. Take it away.
SPEAKER_01:See, you did it again, Silk. Every time you say something about me, you make me blush. As old as I am, I'm over here blushing like a little schoolgirl. But at least you know I do love you. China, like you say, is in Belize, and like her, I wouldn't have wanted to leave you either. But you pretty much made her go. I do think she deserves a little break. Plus, she has family there, so that's a good thing. But I am just so thrilled you're sitting here with me that I could cry. We almost lost you this time. I didn't think this day would ever come, not wishing you any bad luck or anything. I just, I didn't think it would ever come. Anyway, Silk said I can go ahead and answer a question. So I picked one out of all the messages. It was from a woman named Kareen who lives in. I can't, I don't think I'm gonna be able to say this word correctly. Rakyavik? Silk's nodding. I think that's what it is. She's 19, but she says a man talked her into leaving her family. He made her cut them off, no returning phone calls, not keeping any contact with them. Even though they only moved to like 100 miles away, she said she got pregnant by him and during her pregnancy, his mistress beat her. He and his mistress held her down and chopped off her hair. They then kicked her out of her own house in the rain and stole all of her jewelry and belongings. So she asks, what should I do now? I can't call my family not the way I left and did them. Please help me. I consulted with Silk to make sure it was okay to answer this my way. He told me it's my show. What you need to do is get a hold of every male member you have in your family. Because remember, family is family. I don't care what you did, I don't care if you turned on them or if you talked about them. If you're the only girl like you say you are, contact your brothers, contact your uncles, contact your nephews, your male cousins, hell contact a couple of those female relatives that like to ride five deep. Let them know what happened. They'll completely understand how you fell for the Okie doke. Let them know what happened to you. Because family will love you regardless. They don't hate you. They hate the way you went about choosing your life. There's a good chance that if you would have just told them, hey, I met a guy, I fell in love with him, and I'm gonna go live with him for a while, they would have been prepared for your call. But after reading your long list that I won't go through on here, you did some really foul shit to your family. You never said whether it was your idea or his, but either way, it was totally fucked up to put your family through all of that just because you wanted some guy you met online. But you are their family, so contact them. Let them know what happened. You'll be alright. They don't like the way you went about it, and for some reason, girls today like to keep things from their family. They don't want to tell their brothers, they don't want to tell their sister, they don't want to tell anybody the scandalous things they do on their phones at night when they are alone in their rooms on FaceTime with the boy. I know. They don't want to tell anybody. But the truth of the matter is your family probably already knew. They knew you were gonna be with the guy. You just went about it the wrong way. You disrespected them. You could have been an adult about what you did, but you decided to bring the police in. You decided to lie. You decided to recruit other people to help you with your lie. Now, I guarantee you those same people that you recruited to help you, that you haven't stayed in touch with once you left. I bet they've gone back and apologized to your parents and family. You're the one that stayed away. Your family will forgive you regardless. They might not trust you for a while, but they'll always love you. From what you say, there was no abuse in the family. They did everything right. You just fell for the classic. I'm the only one that loves you lying. Or they are abusing you. Can't you see that? Line. Contact somebody in the family, then you contact an attorney. Somebody in your family knows an attorney that can help you. But you don't need to stress with those babies so close to being born, alright? That's the only message I'm gonna address this week, because like we say, we don't wanna keep you guys long. We want you to go ahead and enjoy your holidays. I'll pop back on here every now and then. I'm eventually gonna finish up my story about my life, but right now I can't. Guys, don't forget to check out the blog page because I'm starting to write blogs too. Check out the merch page, we've got new merchandise. If you want to shoot a donation or if you want to send us a message because we finally got the messages a little cleared out where we can take more messages, just contact us at letmepullyourcoat.com or you can contact us at letmepullyourcoat at gmail.com. You can also check us out anywhere you get your podcasts. Apple, Spotify, Buzz Sprout, Podchaser. We're everywhere. I'm really looking forward to being here with you guys. Always remember we love you. This is legit, this is no BS. I am a living testimony of that. Silk can help you a lot. All you have to do is reach out to him. I told him to get what's app, but he said he'll never get what's app. I'm gonna eventually find out why. For Master Silk, this is Baby Doll. Until next time, much love and much respect.
