Back by popular demand, it's the one and only, China Doll. We got so many messages addressed to me. I've received questions, stories, love letters, and to keep it real. A couple haters too. So much that Silk had no choice but to hand me the mic again. First off, I must say, "I am not condoning any illegal activity." Although everything I speak on is true, it's my opinion. This is just my truth and my testament. It's strictly for entertainment purposes. I do, however, hope you listen to this all the way through. It's less than 20 minutes and I plan to completely bare my soul to you. We'll learn a lot about me and Silk in this episode. Y'all spoke? I listened. So we letting China Doll answer directly. And trust me. We bring in more truth than your therapist and your baby daddy combined. Now while you're here, go ahead and follow the show. Leave a review and tell your people about it. And if you really rock with us, support the movement, we have new, let me pull your coat merch, caps, tour jackets, hoodies, and more on the way. Supporters get shout outs, giveaways, and access to all the unfiltered realness. Y'all love. So don't just listen. Be a part of the legacy. This is let me pull your coat, the unfiltered world of master Silk and I'm China doll. Today we're going deep. Let's get it. Carolyn from Atlanta asked, "China, what was it about Silk that made you choose him? I don't know if I can answer that." Go ahead. This is an explicit podcast. Say what you want. Are you sure? Absolutely. I keep nothing from my listeners. He was his swagger and the way he carried himself as a man. Ps nowadays forget that they are men before anything else. You see how all of these so-called Ps surround these girls like a pack of hyenas on one little gazelle? How is the girl supposed to choose when everyone is screaming and yelling out at her? Silk didn't do that. I never saw him chase a girl. Just like me, they approached him first. I could say more, but I may not have enough time. Go ahead. Take all the time you need. I want to know too. Silk, I don't know if you knew this, but me and my wifeys were stalking you. You were? Well, we were working the track in Kansas City. I remember it was late October, early November. The track was on Troost Avenue and there was a 24/7 hamburger joint there where we all met up. So this one night, a gold car pulled up all shiny and with the cleanest, fattest, white walls, this girl stepped out from the driver's seat wearing a white and blue pin striped hot pantsuit and white thigh-high boots. I didn't even notice the girls getting out of the passenger seat or the passenger side back seat. They were wearing the same exact outfit. A driver went to open the back door and the first thing I noticed were these shiny ass, Stacey Adams. Then I saw a man step out wearing a blue pin striped three-piece suit. I thought, damn. He's in blue with white pin stripes and the three girls were in white with blue pin stripes. The next thing I noticed was his pinky ring. It wasn't big and gaudy, but it was beautiful under those lights. He just walked right past us. Didn't even look just the rules of the game. But his girls smiled at me. All sexy like. Then he went inside, grabbed a paper, ordered a coffee and sat facing the window looking out at the track while his girls went to work. This went on the next night and the next while wifeys and I finally got up the courage to approach him the next time he came, but he didn't come back. We were pissed. We had blew our chance. Then about two weeks later we saw the same car pulling into the burger joint. I forget what kind of car it was, but it was clean. It was a fully loaded 98 Regency with bucket seats full bar behind the front seats and footrests. Television and satellite phone. I missed that car. My wifeies and I hauled ass to get to that car. We were slipping and sliding on ice all over the place. We reached the back door and flung it open and his girls had the drop on us if you know what I mean. After apologizing, we chose right there on the spot. I told him that we had been saving up so that we'd have a good choosing fee. He asked if we were sure. We said yes. He asked for the address to where we had been staying. We warned him about our p. He didn't flinch or say anything. When we got there, him and two of the girls went to the hotel room door. I don't know what was said, but ten minutes later we were getting our stuff. I heard silk asked c-dog. Our p if he had any more girls. c-dog said, "Why?" So you can knock them too. Anyway, you know I do. I'm twelve deep. Silk looked him dead in his eyes and said, "I won't ask again." After about two minutes of a staring contest, c-dog finally told him the truth. He had no other girls. Then, I watched Silk give c-dog half of each of our choosing fees. Later that night, I asked Silk, "Why did he give c-dog half of our choosing fee?" I'll never forget what you said to me. I don't know if you meant to rhyme or if it just came out that way, but you said, "I just took everything that man had that allowed him to eat." I gave it to him to help him get back on his feet. Silk, that's the reason I stayed with you until you left the streets. When you said you were finished, I was finished. Carolyn, I follow Silk to the strip club, the lounge, the adult video company, and real estate parts of his life. And he still not finished making moves. I plan to be here for that as well, if he lets me. You're a part of me. If you want to stay, stay. See? That's why we love him, we're humans to him. Not just a way to make money. He actually cares about us, takes care of us and our families. Damn, I got tears in my eyes thinking about that. Give me a minute. You ready? I'm good, thanks Daddy. All right, Tasha from Memphis asks, "What was the hardest part about going legit?" Tasha? Letting go of fast money."one day, Silk had me sit down and track how much I spent in a week." You know? Hair, nails, hotel, ubers, weed, clothes, bailing out friends and alcohol. Had made $4,200 and was down to $6. That's when he showed me how to live on less and invest in more. It wasn't sexy. He made me save $1,000. It took a minute, but that $1,000. He made me put in an index fund in 2014. It's now worth over $7,000. Hardest part was realizing real money takes time, but it stays with you. Marcus from Detroit asks, "Where you ever scared to leave the game?" Absolutely. I was more afraid of being broke than being dead. The game gives you structure, even if it's toxic. Silk had me right down a 90 day plan. We did. Vision boards. Oh. He even came to my first job interview when I applied for a front-desk position. And when I got hired? He sent flowers. Who else does that for a former 304? If it wasn't for him being more patient than my trauma, I'd still be caught in that loop. O'Layla from Toronto asks, "Do you think every woman can be saved?" Nope. I've seen girls with five star help ruin their own rescue. It was one of the wifeies that chose Silk with me. That night in Kansas City, Jasmine. Silk offered her the same help. Gave her startup capital and everything she needed to blow up. She blew it all at the casino and went back to work in the blade. It was one of those girls that would rather work the track instead of working out of a hotel room and placing ads. Sadly, two years after choosing up, she went AWOL and is now no longer amongst the living. She tried to get me and Rochelle, the other wifey that chose up that night, to leave with her. We stayed. Thank goodness. Some people love the hustle more than the healing. I just thank God we listen. One for me. Cool. Rico from Atlanta asks, "How did you know she was ready?" When she stopped crying about what life did to her and started asking what she could do about it. That's when I stepped in. Anybody can complain. But China started planning. I saw fire in her, not fear. Most girls in this profession blames everybody else for their situation. My parents did this, my ex did that, my life is this, everyone's out to give me. Please. China wanted to be something more than just a play thing. She wanted people to respect her for her brain, not her body. Next we have Camille from Nova Scotia. She asks, "Did you and Silk ever do it? Never. Not once!" I'm kidding. We did it about two years after I chose up. He was the first man in my life that didn't try to sleep with me immediately. He tried to save me from myself. He made love to my mind, not just my ego. And that's why I stayed loyal and ten toes down. There is nothing he could ask of me, that I wouldn't do. I remember one night I was drunk and crying, and I said, "Why you ain't ever come at me like the others?" He said, "Because you deserve to be built up, not broken down. That changed everything for me. Now we have Nadia from Houston." She says, "I'm trying to leave the streets, but I don't know where to start. Any advice? Start with one clean day, no tricks, no calls, no finessing. See how long you can go without using the game? Then do it again tomorrow and find someone who holds you accountable. For me? That was Silk. He had me text him my daily wins. Even when I messed up, he didn't cut me off. He just said, "Get up. We don't fold." Zoe from Paris asks, "How did you rebuild trust in yourself?" By managing money, Silk gave me a prepaid debit card with $300 and said, "Double it legally. I sold bundles, did lashes, promoted clubs legally. When I turned it into $900, I cried. That was the first time I saw myself as a businesswoman, not a body." Kyle from Baltimore asks, "Silk, how many women like China did you help?" More than I care to remember. Some took the rope, some tried to hang themselves with it. I don't give out sympathy, I give out strategies. But China, she listened. That's what made the difference. In the end, we all made money. I didn't pocket the stacks. I made sure my girls had a safety net if they left me. Whether it was stocks or a retirement fund, they left with more than they came to me with. Besides being 304s, there're somebody's daughter, sister, niece, cousin, grandchild, or mother. How can a so-called p not take care of the person that's keeping their bills paid and pockets fat? Now we have Serena from Haiti. How do you handle judgment from people now that you're legit with my passport stamps of my tax returns? I've had women whisper, "Isn't she that girl from?" And I just smile and tip 30% on a bill, but they don't know that girl anymore. And if they did, they'd respect her now. Isaiah from Compton asks, "Was it ever hard to be loyal to silk? Not even a little. You never once threw my past in my face. Even when I messed up, all he said was, "You done? Now let's get back to work. Most people want to use your pain." Silk wanted to plant it. Maya from London asks, "What would you tell your younger self? Girl, walk away the first time it feels wrong and find your version of Silk. I'd also tell her that the bag ain't worth your soul and peace is the sexiest thing you'll be." Donte from New Brunswick says, "What do you say to women still stuck in the game yet, They watch you and know it can be done. That you can love yourself and still be scared, but don't let fear pay your rent let healing build your future. I made it out. Not Because I'm special, but because I said yes to change." Imani from Chicago asks, "Why don't more women talk about trauma from the game? Because healing hurts and silence feels safer? Me? I talk because silk gave me the space to do so. I was 'Graped' at 17 by a regular and I buried it for years. One day silk said, "You either speak it or you repeat it. I chose to speak. Louise from Dallas asks, "Would you ever mentor young women now? I already do. And the first thing I teach is legacy." I even have girls come over, we do vision boards and budget nights. I tell them, "If it wasn't for silk, I'd be tricking by the gas station. Instead I'm buying property next to it. Kiarra from Miami asks, "Do you think a woman can love herself and still be in the game? You can love yourself, but the game keeps you fragmented. By selling pieces of yourself you'll never fully get back. I didn't start truly loving myself until I opened my own salon. When I saw my name on the lease, that's when I knew I loved every scar, every step, every lesson. Time for your coat pull of the week. Look, I don't care how deep in the game you are. If somebody hands you a tool to make your life better and you toss it for temporary comfort, you're choosing your prison. Let's keep it 100. If you've been with your P longer than six months to a year and you're still walking the blade, you need to elevate yourself and your situation. The blade is a starting point. It's not meant to be a career choice. If you can't see, touch or believe in what you're jumping in and out of strangers' cars for, then you're in a never-ending loop. That will repeat itself every day. That is, until you get arrested, get a disease or worse yet, unalived, loyalty ain't just about sticking around. It's about sticking to growth. Pull your own damn coat before life yanks it off of you. This week's shoutouts, Brian A. from Miami, you rock that hoodie like a boss, respect for repping the brand and the message. Denise R. from Oakland, your donation came right on time. Much love for investing in the truth. Before I dip, I got a show love to a few real ones. Keisha L. from Birmingham, UK.
